Newark NJ L.A.M.A. Member Down
It is with great regret I announce that one of our fellow Damas de LAMA, Rhina Brown, was involved in an accident on the afternoon of Saturday January 9th.
Rhina is a member of the LAMA NEWARK NJ chapter for just over one year. During that short time frame, she has earned the respect of her fellow members and friends in the motorcycle community. Rhina has travelled to Tennessee for the LAMA National Convention and while there conquered the world famous Dragon’s Tail repeatedly logging nearly 2000 roundtrip miles on one road trip. In addition, she has covered the eastcoast region on numerous other events. She has demonstrated her great passion for riding.
On January 9th, Rhina was taking advantage of the exceptional warm weather during this winter and rode with her fellow club members in the moutainous back roads of NJ. It is there where she lost control of her bike and crashed. Rhina went from the road surface,to the curb, and then sliding into the wooded area striking several objects.
Despite wearing the proper riding gear, Rhina sustained several injuries consisting of road rash, lacerations, back injuries, and the worst of all several broken bones on her right foot. She was recently operated on her foot, placing several pins and screws. A second operation is scheduled soon.
Regardless of the injuries and overwhelming pain, Rhina continues to display her bright smile. As we all know these situations are very deppressing and tough to overcome. Rhina has recieved an abundance of get well wishes, support, and prayers. She is very greatful for the support, love, and affection given by the LAMA family and others abroad.

The feelings that fill us today can’t be beat;
It’s Thanksgiving Day, and it all feels complete.

It’s then in our minds, we forget all the good,
